Christmas is here...at work

I’ve just been pressganged into putting up the Christmas decorations at work. Lots of sticky tape and paper clips were used in creating a winter wonderland. Careful planning was used to cause maximum inconvenience to taller members of staff… Ho Ho Ho :)

And you're in this year's DevWeek I see. Another piece of professional lurking. ;)

I've not seen my picture at DevWeek. Where did you spot me? On the website or the brochure?

Page 5.

You're sitting between SteveG and Alan.

Wooly is doing a Meerkat impersonation.

BTW Where's the Quality Stree tin?
Are times hard? ;>

It’s still early days but we are hoping that the chocolates will appear soon. Tracey did a lot of that sort of thing but she left a few months ago :(

Times must be tough.

There would have a dish or two of roses by now in my day. [rolls eyes]

Still, looks like the wiggling Santa is still going.

Of course, it's payrise and bonus time for you. You'll be treating yourself......

And the Christmas party? When I think back to the Steve Sylvester incident, I wonder if it really happened? People don't believe me when I tell them the story.

Ah, the rich tapestry of Grosvenor.

Our technical author is leaving so they are combining the leaving party and Christmas party all in one. The company is doing ok and now has a large sales force. Lee and Ewan have come back so I’m sure it won’t be long before Terri reappears. We still get free biscuits and cakes seem to appear quite often so it’s not all doom and gloom. It is the start of the new financial year and I will be treating myself to so new goodies. The only downside is a rather annoying Delphi bug with a TTable object. Time to write a quick test app.

I thought I spotted Ewan on that video. Have you managed to get Janus working on an IBM AS/3 yet

Terri left? Good grief, I wouldn't have tought Del Boy could have stood losing her again.

Looks like Jackie went as well?

Terri, Tracey, Jackie and Emily all went. I think Terri is working for an armed forces charity. Janus is no longer being developed, just the occasional bug fixes. Sateon is the replacement for Janus and Enterprise. We are selling systems all round the world at the moment so the future looks bright.

Get with it, Ian.

Emily left a couple of years before me.

Seen your mugshot in the brochure yet?

My bunch are wanting me to go to DevWeek next year......

Not sure about it, knowing you lot will be there! ;)

Yep, seen the picture on the brochure now. Strange that I’d looked at that image loads of times but never noticed that I was on it. I don’t think we will be doing DevWeek this year. Some of the developers are saying that it doesn’t provide enough detail. Two of our developers went to MIX in the US a few years ago. There was talk about another show in Europe. I think you’ll be safe if you do go to DevWeek as it’s not been talked about here at GTL.
